Traditional City and Christmas Market Tour
Our walking tour starts at the WU Campus, where your guide (English) will pick you up. In the city of Vienna you will see some of Vienna’s main sights like the Karlskirche, State Opera or St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
From mid-November to Christmas, Vienna’s prettiest squares transform into magical Christmas markets and we will stop by a few places for a hot mulled wine. For the tour we will use public transportation.
Note: All tours with English-speaking guide.
Meeting point: WU Campus in front of Building TC, WU Campus, Welthandeslplatz 1, 1020 Wien. Please arrive 10 minutes before tour start.
Registration for the tour is possible via this booking form. Bookings (and payments) must be made by November 23 since their is a minimum number of participants required.
Campus Tour
A large-scale response to a major shortage of space – the Campus of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, completed in 2013, is home to six buildings and generously scaled outdoor spaces and sets new standards in Europe in the construction of universities. In accordance with a master plan by BUSarchitektur, Vienna (which also designed the teaching center, the garage and the open space) the firms Atelier Hitoshi Abe/Sendai, CRABstudio/London, Estudio Carme Pinós/Barcelona, NO.MAD Arquitectos/Madrid and Zaha Hadid Architects/Hamburg each realized one building in their respective formal vocabularies. The result: a great variety of spatial concepts, yielding a refreshingly diverse ensemble.
The tour will give you insights to the architectural finesse and functionality of the buildings.
